Love in action

"This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you" (John 15:12). I find these words in the New Testament incredibly inspiring. Jesus here is asking us to show Him love by spreading the love. That the love we feel from Him, we should be multiplying and sharing that feeling with others. What a beautiful thing!

This issue of Connection magazine explores how multiplying that love can appear in our lives, and how we can even extend the reach beyond our immediate friends and family. Actively serving others is one of the most powerful ways we can share love,

"A person is born that he may become charity. But he cannot become charity unless he perpetually does the good of use to the neighbor, from affection and delight." (Doctrine of Charity 126).

Daily Inspiration

"Loving our neighbor as ourselves is simply not dealing dishonestly or unfairly with people, not harboring hatred or burning with revenge against them, not speaking ill of them or slandering them, not committing adultery with their spouses, and not doing anything of that nature to them."
