After Mary consents to become the mother of Jesus she visits her relative Elizabeth, who is also expecting a baby, who will be John the Baptist. While there, Mary praises God, and speaks the words of the well known Magnificat. (Luke 1:39-56)
"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of Him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, 'Your God reigns!' "
