Sometimes the meaning can be lost, with the secularization of the holidays. Santa Claus, Easter baskets, and the like can overshadow what Christmas and Easter mean for us spiritually. Participating in holiday traditions is a good thing, but it's also good to remember the Lord's messages to us around these holidays.
